Trim Healthy Mama Fuel Pull recipes can seem challenging at first. But a THM FP can be your secret weight loss weapon. Low in both carbs and fat, a FP is both filling and delicious with one of these amazing recipes.

When you’re just starting out with THM, a FP can be daunting as you wonder what exactly you should eat, and how to make it something that won’t leave you starving in an hour. After you’ve been on THM for a while, it’s easy to get stuck making just one or two tried and true FP recipes.

Don’t get me wrong– Cottage Berry Whip is amazing (my default FP choice)! But it’s fun to try new, delicious things.

This list of THM FP recipes is especially great for those two FP days on a Fuel Cycle if you’re working on revving your metabolism or breaking through a weight loss stall.

What is a Trim Healthy Mama Fuel Pull?

The Trim Healthy Mama Plan books explain it best. “FP” stands for fuel pull, and it’s a meal where you enjoy some lighter fare to change things up for your metabolism.

To really understand THM FP meals, look into:

You’ll need to read the book for all the details, but we start a FP meal with about 3-4 ounces of lean protein.

You can add to that up to 5 grams of fat and 10 grams of net carbs.

What is a THM fuel cycle?

A Fuel Cycle can help to break through a weight loss stall or maybe jump start weight loss if it’s taking your body a while to shed the weight.

A fuel cycle is a special one week plan (two at the very most) where you are much stricter with your THM fuels. You’ll have to read the THM books for all the details, but it’s a certain number of days of all deep S, all E, and all FP meals.

Why You Need Some THM FP BFFs

A THM FP snack or recipe can be a super tool to help you along your THM journey.

The lighter calorie load can be the perfect thing to balance heavier meals to rev up your metabolism.

My favorite way to use a THM FP is to avoid a crossover. For example, if I have an E lunch at 1pm and an S dinner at 6pm, but I want a snack at 3:30pm. To avoid a crossover (which too many of these may lead to weight gain), a Fuel Pull can be just what you need.

FP condiments are also great to have on hand to dress up either your THM S or E meals! They’re prefect for E’s because they won’t push you over your guidelines for fats, and they’re great to lighten up an S.

FP drinks are perfect for all day sippers or adding a flavorful beverage to complement your well-planned E or S meal or snack.

Most of these recipes have no special ingredients. But if you’re looking to save on special ingredients, I often use Amazon gift cards earned free from Swagbucks to purchase a few of the specialty items.

Greek Chicken With Tzaziki Sauce from An Ordinary Housewife is bursting with Greek flavors, and the homemade Tzaziki sauce can also be used as an amazing dip for veggies or as a light salad dressing.

The FP option of Goulash from My Healthy Journey For Life brings you comfort food flavors but slims you down with lean meat and konjac noodles. It even sneaks in a serving of mushrooms that picky eaters won’t notice amid the delicious dinner flavors.

You’ll want to add this flavorful Cilantro Lime Chicken Breast Recipe from An Ordinary Housewife into your meal plans! It’s light enough to be a fuel pull but still bursting with flavor from a creamy sauce.

This Sugar-Free Sweet And Spicy Stir Fry is my family’s absolute favorite! Serve it over riced cauliflower for an amazing, super-filling FP dinner.

THM FP Condiments, Low Carb Bread, and Tortillas

This Homemade Hot Pepper Sauce from TJ’s Taste is the perfect way to spice up your food without fat and calories. Based off of Frank’s hot sauce but even better with fresh ingredients and a little twist, this recipe is ideal for wings, dipping sauce, and more!
