Wanna know more about Rocky Mountain Oils? Check out my Rocky Mountain Oils Review and my family’s experience with their Everyday Blends Kit.
Essential oils are a unique way to support your family’s health naturally. But with so many oils on the market today (and so many MLM, or multilevel marketing, companies around!), it can get overwhelming.
Have you heard of Rocky Mountain Oils?
We were recently introduced to them through a friend, who raved about their purity and efficacy (effectiveness), and I’d love to share my family’s experiences in this Rocky Mountain Oils Review.
As an integrative medicine physician assistant, I’m always interested in new products at great prices that can naturally support my family’s health.
To sum it up, we’re really thankful for our friend’s introduction. 🙂
In this Rocky Mountain Oils review, we’ll cover different aspects of the company and their essential oils.
Then, I’ll go over our experiences with one of the Rocky Mountain Oils starter kits, the Everyday Blends Kit, which is a great starter kit for getting your feet wet (lol literally) with Rocky Mountain Oils.

Is Rocky Mountain Oils a good company?
Rocky Mountain Oils have been around since 2004, making them one of the older essential oils companies on the market today.
You can buy Rocky Mountain Oils through their company’s website, or you can find them on Amazon.com.
Their mission is to “provide essential oils that are pure and safe to use at a cost-effective price” and “improve the lives of people worldwide.”
They sell over 188 pure essential oils and essential oil blends.
I have been impressed so far in my dealings with Rocky Mountain Oils and their products.
You can check the purity level of EVERY batch of RMO that you receive (see more on this below in the next question).
Also, their customer service is a dream to work with. There were no problems with my order, but I had to reach out to them about something and they responded in just a few hours!
They even off a 30 day money-back happiness guarantee, so you can be sure that you’re 100% satisfied with your order.
Personally, I love that they’re not an MLM company. You don’t have to know someone who sells them, and you can just purchase through their website.
And I love that.
No one is urging you to become a sales rep or reach out to people on Facebook that you haven’t talked to since high school to share oils with them.
I have used some other MLM oil products and loved them, and I have family members who have benefited (and sell) those other oils. I’m so glad that there are lots of high quality oils available out there. 🙂
But I also like being able to just go to the website and buy what I’m interested in.
Are Rocky Mountain oils pure?
They provide high quality essential oils (and at great prices compared to other companies).
And you check the purity of each batch.
It is important to note that they do offer a Certified USDA organic line of oils, and while not all of the oils are technically organic, they are all sourced with organic practices
Every oil you receive has a GC/MS (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry) Verified code. RMO submits their products to third party testing through the GC/MS, and you can check the results yourself at the GC/MS Verified code in each bottle.
Rocky Mountain Oils requires all of their products to go through these tests to ensure quality and purity:
- Refractive Index
Are Rocky Mountain Oils Safe to Ingest?
Technically, Rocky Mountain oils ARE food-grade and high quality oils.
However, it’s important to note that ingesting essential oils should be done under medical supervision. This ensures that the right person is using the right oil for the right condition, and also to reduce the risk of potential interactions with medications or preexisting medical conditions.
Rocky Mountain Oils does NOT recommend ingestion (taking internally) their products and does recommend that you consult your aromatherapist or other healthcare provider.
Love this! In general, please be careful about taking essential oils by mouth!
Are Rocky Mountain Oils Therapeutic Grade?
Therapeutic grade essential oils are ones that are considered to be of the highest purity and therefore the most effective or potent.
There’s no agency at this time that regulates if essential oils are therapeutic grade or not, but as mentioned above, Rocky Mountain Oils does provide GC/MS Verified data so that you can verify the quality of their products.
Side note– I’m not sure if RMO are as “strong” (potent) as DoTerra’s. For DoTerra, most of my oils are diluted one drop oil to 5-10 drops of a carrier oil. For Rocky Mountain Oils, the dilution is one drop of an oil to 3-4 drops of a carrier oil.
I’m curious if that means they’re not quite as potent. However, I was pleased with the results that my family experienced with RMO.
My Experience and My Rocky Mountain Oils Review
Just wanted to let you know that I did receive a complimentary Rocky Mountain Oils starter kit of their Everyday Blends Kit for review. All opinions are my own.
The Everyday Blends Kit- a Rocky Mountain Oils Starter Kit
This Rocky Mountain Oils starter kit is a great combination of essential oils blends, especially if you’re new to essential oils.
- At Peace
- Breathe Ease
- Citrus Blend
- Immune Strength
- First Aid
I LOVE this oil for adding some extra power to some tough (and stinky) places that needed cleaning. In particular, I used it diluted in water to get rid of some stinky odors in my garbage disposal.
It worked like a charm to get rid of the odor!
I plan to also use it in some of the homemade, natural cleaners in this post with over 70 essential oil recipes.
I also used it doing a brief period when my kiddos seemed to be getting sick over and over again. It was like they were taking turns with germs and trading a cold back and forth.
During their naps times, I diffused it in a playroom of a little while, and we seemed to get out of the rut of sickness after that. I was surprised and glad that it seems to make such a difference for us!
It took me a while to write this review because I really wanted to give this oil some time to see if it helped.
I diluted it in some jojoba oil that I had leftover from pregnancy days (it did wonders for my stomach– not stretch marks at all!), and I’ve been applying it to see if it would help with my lingering postpartum depression.
I also take St. John’s Wort for my postpartum depression, and it’s been amazing.
I didn’t notice much improvement in my depression with using At Peace, but it makes a HUGE difference when I get anxious or agitated (i.e., when the kiddos are pushing all my buttons!).
This is great as a rescue oil for me when frustration and overwhelm creep up. Lol, it’s well named! It’s been awesome for helping me to feel at peace.
We haven’t really needed this one yet, but I’ll update this if we come down with anything this winter. 🙂
I love this blend! I diffuse it when I need an extra burst of energy, and it’s been great for lifting my mood and helping increase my productivity.
And what mama doesn’t need a little productivity lift?!
I might be almost out of this one already… 😉
Except for a couple of weeks when the kids were passing germs back and forth, we haven’t been sick often or for long since we got Immune Strength.
I’ll update this later in the school year, but overall my 4 year old seems to get sick less often and for shorter duration since we started using Immune Strength.
This blend contains “hot” oils that require extra caution when applying to the skin. Please be sure to follow dilution protocols, and RMO does not recommend using this topically on kids under the age of 10.
Thankfully, we haven’t needed this oil much yet. Will update when we use it more.
I’m also thankful to simply have this in my natural medicine cabinet for when we need it.
